Safety comes first
Safety is at the core of our purpose and the foundation of everything we do.
Our approach to safety at bp is grounded in robust systems and practices: our Operating Management System (OMS) and Safety Leadership Principles, along with our implementation of the industry-standard Life-Saving Rules and Process Safety Fundamentals, which were both developed by the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP).
Our beliefs

Our organization
To deliver our strategy and grow long-term shareholder value, we are organized into three business groups:
Sustainability
Our purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow. Our sustainability frame underpins delivery of our strategy, and our refreshed sustainability aims are focused on those areas we believe our most relevant to bp’s long-term success: net zero operations, net zero sales, people, biodiversity and water.
