Top Highlights of 2025 for bp charge New Zealand


2025 has been a big year for bp charge in New Zealand. From exciting partnerships to network growth and improved charging experiences, here are the moments that made this year one to remember.


1. Launching our first consumer energy partnership with Contact Energy
We teamed up with Contact Energy to deliver big savings for EV drivers. From 1 September, eligible Contact customers can access up to 70% off charging during peak times (7–9am and 4–6pm daily) and a free bp charge subscription, making EV charging more accessible and affordable nationwide. 2. Expanding our network with new sites and upgrades
We added multiple new locations and upgrades this year, including Cromwell, Queenstown, and Papakura. With over 250 bp charge charging bays across NZ, drivers can power up wherever the road takes them.

 

3. Charging made simple with Zilch
Zilch customers can now tap their Zilch card at any bp charge site nationwide, unlocking a seamless experience for thousands of drivers.


4. Partnering with Uber to support EV drivers
This year we launched our Uber partnership in New Zealand, offering exclusive charging discounts for Uber drivers and improving access at key locations like Christchurch Airport.
